I am brand new to this blogging stuff, but I am having fun trying it out! I live on a small farm in East Tennessee. We currently have 5 cows, 2 horses, 39 chickens, 3 goats, 1 dog, 2 cats, 1 rabbit, 1 fish, 1 sugar glider, and just sold 2 market lambs. Now you see why I call it Old McIrwin's Farm! We own 8 acres and our leasing 8 more acres that joins our property. Most of our animals are do to my 10 year old daughter's (Arian) involvement in 4H Club. She shows 2 of her heifers, and some of the chickens, in local 4H events and county fairs. Plus I myself really love animals! You never know what might show up next at our little farm - just ask my husband!! haha

Welcome to the blogging universe from another newbie! I love the picture on your blog, it's so cute!

I have to ask, what's a sugar glider?

Welcome welcome welcome! May parents have had a hobby farm - blueberries and grapes - in East Tennessee for the past couple years. I'm glad to learn that other library folks out there still get outside every now and again :)

I have a small garden in West Tennessee. I put up 11 quarts of tomato juice last night.
I grew up raising baby calves on the bottle. I hope to move back to my family farm and have some animals again.
I am sure we will get though this 2.0 experience, but I like myspace better...see you there.

You really do have a menagerie!
One thing is for sure you'll never get lonely!
Oh, by the way I love your picture.

I am so excited - I got some posts to my blog!!!! As for the question about sugar gliders, I tried to post a article from TEL about them but wasn't successful. If you get a chance, check them out on TEL. I seen some good articles with pictures on them.
